It is with great sadness that we tell you that Daisy our beautiful young Daisy died this morning after contracting parvovirus.
Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus which mainly effects dogs. Symptoms include:
👉Lethargy
👉Vomiting
👉Fever
👉Diarrhoea
There is no approved treatment for parvo and if contracted in young dogs there is a very small survival rate.
Unfortunately this is a result of Daisy not receiving her vaccinations at the appropriate age.
This is not a nice way for a dog to die, we urge you please get your dogs vaccinated. If you have a dog at any age and are unsure what is needed to keep them healthy then please speak to a vet or contact us at Live PAWS.
