Sometimes we wonder why dogs like Dakota are over looked for adoption. We think its probably because she is not one of the dogs who pushes herself forward.
In the kennel situation she is shy, and will quickly return to her kennel, if she doesn’t know you. Dakota came as a puppy with her sister Ohio. She has only ever known kennel life , which is a shame really as she is a very nice natured dog.
Ideally she would have a home where it is a calm environment, she would love to engage more, but she still has her boundaries due to her lack of self confidence.
She would make a great companion to anyone who would be willing to give her time, and patience to settle into a new environment, and to learn how much better her own home would be.
She is good with people and other dogs, she loves her walks. Please don’t walk past these shy dogs, like people , we are not all the same, neither are they.
