When a gorgeous 12-year-old lady, in the autumn of her life, is invited to go and live with a handsome gentleman of the same age, it can only be a good thing.
And that is what happened, when our brave Negrita was fostered by Jo and Cornelius. She and her new companion, Charlie, absolutely adore each other, and their new friendship should keep them forever young!
Negrita (pictured right) arrived at the refuge looking very bedraggled. She had a cancerous lump, which was immediately removed.
Jane, our expert groomer, has transformed her appearance, and, after removing a lot of her fur, it was discovered that poor Negrita also had an ingrowing dew claw. This was removed by one of our vets, and she is now able to enjoy pain-free walks.
