A lovely German lady fell in love with Nelly, whilst on holiday here. She took her for a walk, and decided to adopt her.
She already had the relevant paperwork and licence, back in Germany, so there was nothing to stop her taking Nelly home with her, the following day.
Celine, our charity secretary, was instructed by the airport authorities to take Nelly to the airport, in the hope that there would be a cancellation.
It was touch and go as to whether she would be able to fly, but she was accepted onto the plane! What a relief it was.
