It is always very sad when dogs are brought to the refuge, having been badly treated. The volunteers are upset, and try their best to comfort them.
But all their efforts are rewarded when the dogs’ health improves, and they start to enjoy life once more.
Taro is a fine example of this. He was a loyal therapy dog, but was shut away when deemed to be no longer useful.
As soon as he came to Live Paws, his spirits lifted. Despite having heartworm, he thoroughly enjoys his life here.
Thank you to all our supporters who have enquired about him, many of whom have donated towards his ongoing treatment.
These donations, along with expert veterinary care, and the dedication of our volunteers, have secured the best possible future for Taro.
