A call from one of volunteers, to our president, resulted in him climbing into a water tank, on the edge of a steep drop, to rescue a dog who was stranded on a sinking platform. Despite Amanda trying to get help from the relevant authorities, they didn’t turn up to help . So a very nervous pointer, who had already bitten Mark, was eventually rescued and is now safe and sound in the refuge. She is now called Penny, and has settled well, clearly realising how loved and cared for she is at the refuge, she hasn’t bitten anyone since. Thank you Mark for always being there for our furry friends.
