Just a week after newly named Marlee joined us after being found in the most terrible state… After seeing our vet, it was advised that her skin condition was not contagious, so Mark took her home — the best place for her to recover from whatever she has been through.A week into being at home with Mark, her skin is already healing. She’s playing with Santiago and the cats, showing her gentle and playful nature coming through. She’s being bathed with special shampoo to help her recovery, and it’s clearly working. She is only around 9 months old, and to be in that state so young shows she hasn’t had the best start to her short life. From drinking bad water, she has kidney issues, which she is now on medication for, and she’s also anemic — both being carefully treated. She follows Mark around like he is her hero… and honestly, he is. It’s such a beautiful thing to see Her journey is just beginning, but already she’s showing so much strength, love, and trust. We can’t wait to see her continue to grow into the happy, healthy dog she deserves to be.
