It is with a heavy heart that we tell you our beloved Arturo passed away in the arms of Mark and Sarah. Arturo joined us at a young age with Merlin who we believe was his son.
They were found aimlessly wondering in Chafiras, when we got the call to pick them up. Merlin settled but Arturo was found digging a hole and manage to bury himself under the soil in his kennel to hide himself away. This is when Sheryl, who had already fallen in love, took over and said he is coming home with me into foster.
It was soon clear that this was the perfect match as Arturo blossomed and matched Sheryl’s kindness and love for others. Over the 7 years he was with Sheryl he became a guiding soul to many other “broken” animals that came into the home for respite and to be cared for whilst getting over injury or illness. He became partners in crime with Beethoven, another rescue that fell on his paws in foster with Sheryl and were often found snuggled together in bed. A unique and special boy that never stopped wagging his tail, even towards the end.
He leaves a huge missing part of the Live PAWS family. Run free now our friend, you will forever live in our hearts.
