Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it with these services, which process it for us:
- Webempresa Europa SLU (Spain): hosts our website and its database.
- PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg): processes donations and sponsorships.
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics and Google Ads (only with your consent), and Google Translate for the language switcher.
- Anthropic (USA): provides the AI behind PAWSistant and receives the questions typed into the chat.
- WhatsApp / Meta: if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
- Vets, authorities and transport partners: only what’s needed for a dog’s care, legal paperwork (for example microchip registration or a pet passport) or a flight.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the USA). Where they do, they rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Adoptions: for the life of the dog and the follow-up period, so we can help if the dog ever needs to come back to us.
- Applications that don’t go ahead and general enquiries: up to 2 years.
- Donations and sponsorships: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 6 years).
- Chat conversations: kept privately until we delete them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy (portability). Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for example with the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of the site. Email hello@livepaws.net and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Changes
We may update this policy when we change how we work. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
