First, Mark was ready to fly, and Baky was already loaded into the cargo hold. But just before takeoff, the Captain made a critical announcement: he would not fly with a dog in the hold.
Why? Because the engineers couldn’t fix the climate control system, and temperatures in the hold would have plummeted to 50 below freezing conditions that could have been fatal for dear Baky.
Thank goodness for the Captain’s decision. His care and judgment likely saved Baky’s life.
Three days later, Mark and Baky took to the skies once more this time heading to Holland, where John was waiting to meet them and continue the journey to the United Kingdom.
Through it all, Baky took everything in stride. And now, he’s happily settled in his new home, enjoying the good life safe, warm, and very much loved.
