Two years ago when Maika collapsed we thought that this was the last moments for her. We knew she had a heart condition that was causing this problem. We took her to El Madronal where Roberto treated her hoping he could improve her health.Now she is on medication and every month she has to have bags of blood removed to stop her heart from failing.
Maika is responding well to the expertise of Roberto. She lives happily with her foster mum and three other foster dogs.She cannot go for walks and has to be kept as quiet as possible but she has a great life being treated like a princess.Even Maika plays her part in helping others, her blood is used to save lives of dogs who need transfusions.
