This is our Lucy… Lucy has been volunteering with Live PAWS for a long time and she has become such a special part of our refuge family. She has a huge heart for our big, strong dogs — the ones who sometimes get overlooked — and she loves nothing more than taking them away from refuge life for little adventures, new smells, freedom, and fun.
And then there’s Patch… her best friend at the refuge. 🤍Lucy absolutely adores taking Patch to Mascots, where he can enjoy the freedom of running, playing, and splashing in the water — just being a happy dog. The bond they share is truly beautiful.
You can see the trust, love, and understanding between them, and more than anything Lucy would love to see Patch finally find the forever home he deserves. Patch is deaf, so he can be a little unsure if he’s surprised or approached without warning — but that doesn’t take away from his incredible personality.
He is playful, full of life, and has so much love to give to someone willing to understand him. Behind every rescue dog there is someone who believes in them… and Lucy has always believed in Patch.
Now we just need that special person to believe in him too.
