There are moments in rescue that remind us exactly why we do what we do. Two brothers recently left the refuge together to begin an incredible new chapter in the UK. Although they were heading to two separate forever families, their story didn’t end when they went their separate ways.Even while the boss was away on holiday, he made sure that these two brothers had the chance to meet up and see each other again. And what an emotional moment it was. From the day we decide to take responsibility for an abandoned soul, everything we do is about getting them to this point — safe, loved and finally part of a wonderful family.Seeing these two brothers reunited again after leaving the refuge shows just how special rescue really is.It takes so many people to make journeys like this possible — the refuge team, volunteers, foster carers, transporters, supporters and, finally, the amazing families who open their homes and hearts. From a kennel in Tenerife… to forever homes in the UK… and still getting to share special moments together. This is why we do it. Straight from the heart.
