Our beautiful boy, who was found on Saturday with a triple-fractured leg, has now had his emergency surgery. It was an extremely difficult operation.
Rubio was suffering from severe anaemia, and the top of his injured leg was badly infected. Because of his condition, the veterinary team had to operate using the minimum amount of anaesthetic possible.
But our brave boy made it through. He will be coming home later today to Mark’s finca, where he can begin his recovery surrounded by love, comfort and everything he needs.
Nobody has come forward to claim him and, as he has no microchip, Mark has made a very special decision…Rubio is staying. Mark has decided that Rubio will remain at his finca for the golden chapter of his life.
After everything this beautiful boy has been through, he will now know what it feels like to be safe, loved and properly cared for. No more wondering where he belongs.
